Vuelta 2025: Results
fotobureau Cor VosJonas Vingegaard won the 80th edition of the Vuelta a España. On the podium, the Dane was flanked by João Almeida and Tom Pidcock. Jasper Philipsen sprinted to three stage wins, while Vingegaard also claimed three victories. Juan Ayuso and Jay Vine each took two stages. Two stages ended without a winner after protesters blocked the race.

Vingegaard takes Bola del Mundo and GC
In the final 1.2 kilometres of the brutally steep Bola del Mundo, Jonas Vingegaard rides away from João Almeida, Tom Pidcock, Jai Hindley and Sepp Kuss. The Dane solos to his third stage win and, in the process, secures overall victory in the Vuelta a España.

On the slight uphill drag into Guijuelo, Jasper Philipsen sprints to his third stage win of this Vuelta. Jonas Vingegaard picks up 4 bonus seconds in the intermediate sprint, slightly extending his lead over his GC rivals.

With 3.5 kilometres to climb on El Morredero, Giulio Pellizzari breaks away from the favourites’ group. The leader of the young rider classification solos to victory, while Jonas Vingegaard retains the red jersey.

Due to protests on the final climb, the organisers decide at the last moment to move the finish to the foot of the climb. There, Egan Bernal outsprints Mikel Landa, while Jonas Vingegaard crosses the line 6 minutes later to retain the red jersey.
