Tour de France 2026: Points Classification

Milan: Points Classificationfotobureau Cor VosJonathan Milan won last year's green jersey ahead of Tadej Pogacar and Biniam Girmay. It was his first triumph in La Grande Boucle's points competition.

The points classification in the Tour de France is determined by riders’ placings at intermediate sprints and at stage finishes. Flat stages offer the most points, hilly stages fewer, and mountain stages fewer still. The time trial carries the fewest points, as there is no intermediate sprint.

The distribution of points in the Tour de France is as follows:

Maximum amounts of points: 50 – 30 – 20 – 18 – 16 – 14 – 12 – 10 – 8 – 7 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2

Medium amount of points: 30 – 25 – 22 – 19 – 17 – 15 – 13 – 11 – 9 – 7 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2

Minimum amount of points: 20 – 17 – 15 – 13 – 11 – 10 – 9 – 8 – 7 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1

Amount of points in intermediate sprints (all stages, except ITTs): 20 – 17 – 15 – 13 – 11 – 10 – 9 – 8 – 7 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1
