With its inaugural edition held in 1896, Paris–Tours is one of the oldest Classics on the calendar. Chartres serves as departure point since 2018, and that same year, the finale was revamped by the introduction of dirt roads, some of which head uphill. The 121st edition of the race is held on Sunday 11 October. The route covers roughly 210 kilometres and features a series of unpaved sectors and short climbs in the final 70 kilometres — the last coming just 9 kilometres from the finish line
Matteo Trentin won last year’s edition in a six-up sprint, outperforming Christophe Laporte and Albert Withen Philipsen on the line.
