Vuelta 2027: Route and stages

The Gran Salida of the 82nd edition of the Vuelta a España will take place on 4 September 2027, at a location yet to be announced. Galicia is a serious option, although Denmark suggested a few years ago that it would be keen to host the start of the Vuelta. If that were to happen, it would be the race’s fourth consecutive start abroad, following Portugal (2024), Italy (2025) and Monaco (2026), which seems unlikely. The race will finish in Madrid on 26 September.

Reportedly, the 2027 Vuelta will cross the Pyrenees into France via the Col du Pourtalet, before taking in the Col d’Aubisque, Col du Soulor and Col du Tourmalet before an uphill finish at Val Louron-Azet.

The full route is set to be revealed in the course of December.
