Milan-San Remo 2026
Milano–Sanremo takes place on Saturday 21 March. It is the first Monument of the season, aptly nicknamed La Primavera — or “The Spring”. The race was first held in 1907, and this year marks the 117th edition. The distance is 298 kilometres, with the famed Cipressa–Poggio double in the finale preceding the high-speed plunge towards Via Roma in San Remo.

Last year, Tadej Pogacar lit the fuse on the Cipressa, blowing the race wide open. Only Mathieu van der Poel and Filippo Ganna could hang on. Ganna was distanced on the Poggio but clawed his way back in the final kilometre. In the sprint, Van der Poel proved untouchable, storming to his second La Primavera in three years, with Ganna and Pogacar completing the podium.
