Omloop Het Nieuwsblad 2025

Søren Wærenskjold won the 80th edition of Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, outpowering Paul Magnier and Jasper Philipsen in a bunch sprint. Featuring 197 kilometres, thirteen hills, and seven cobbled sectors, the race took place on Saturday, 1 March 2025.

Wærenskjold sprints to triumph

In the 80th edition of the Omloop, a group of around fifty riders comes together in the final 8 kilometres. Søren Wærenskjold then sprints to victory, holding off Paul Magnier and Jasper Philipsen.

The Route

Saturday, 1 March – Omloop Het Nieuwsblad kicks off the 2025 Classics season. The 197-kilometre route features eleven hills, often cobbled, and sevenl flat stretches of pavé. The one-two punch of the Wall of Geraardsbergen and Bosberg inside the last 16 kilometres precedes a flat run-in to the finish line in Ninove.
