Clásica de San Sebastián 2026
Edition 45 of the Clásica de San Sebastián is held on Saturday, 1 August. The hilly classic in the Basque Country dates back to 1981 and is marked by steep climbs in the region’s mountains, culminating in a tough ascent – most recently the Pilotegi or Murgil Tontorra – before a downhill finale into San Sebastián. Usually, the race takes place one week after the Tour de France.
Giulio Ciccone soloed to victory in last year’s Clásica San Sebastián, finishing ahead of Jan Christen and Maxim Van Gils.
