Stiasny triumphs at Angliru, Blasi takes overall
Red jersey Anna van der Breggen loses contact with her rivals more than 4 kilometres from the summit of the Angliru. Paula Blasi continues alone but Petra Stiasny overhauls her in the final 2 kilometres. The Swiss climber rides on solo to take the win, while Blasi finishes second and in doing so secures the overall victory.

Van der Breggen doubles up atop Les Praeres
Early on the extremely steep final climb, Anna van der Breggen takes the initiative. One by one she drops the other riders, until she has opened a gap with 2.5 kilometres to go. Paula Blasi and Marion Bunel keep her in sight, but cannot close the gap by a single centimetre. Van der Breggen pulls off a double strike and is in pole position to win the Vuelta Femenina.

Bredewold triumphs, Kopecky extends lead
In the flattest stage of the Vuelta Femenina, Mischa Bredewold powers to victory. It looks as though she is leading out Lotte Kopecky, but the red jersey does not come around and instead allows her teammate to take the win. Kopecky herself finishes second to extend her GC lead.
