After a gently rolling opening phase, the Alto de Oural provides the first of two opportunities to gain KOM points, as the road climbs for 5.4 kilometres at an average of 4.7%. The riders then remain at altitude for around 5 kilometres before descending towards Sarria, after which the route continues to roll up and down for several dozen kilometres.

At the foot of the Alto do Hospital, there are still 36 kilometres to go. The “hospital climb” is the second opportunity to score KOM points: 4.1 kilometres long and averaging 6.6%. There is no descent afterwards; instead, the road continues to undulate for another 31.4 kilometres all the way to the finish in Antas de Ulla.

If it does come down to a sprint, which is likely, the fast women should be aware that the final kilometre rises at 2.6%.

The first three riders across the finish line gain 10, 6 and 4 bonus seconds, while 6, 4 and 2 seconds are up for grabs at the intermediate sprint.
