Giro 2025: Results
fotobureau Cor VosSimon Yates took the overall win in the 108th Giro d’Italia, with Isaac Del Toro and Richard Carapaz completing the podium. Mads Pedersen proved to be the standout stage hunter with four wins, with Olav Kooij shining as the best sprinter by winning two bunch sprints.

Harper wins epic stage, Yates takes the GC
Breakaway rider Chris Harper drops Alessandro Verre on the gravel section of the Colle delle Finestre, while Simon Yates launches his attack on the lower slopes. His team mate Wout van Aert waits for him on the descent, and the pair race to the finish together. Isaac Del Toro and Richard Carapaz throw the Giro away by marking each other too closely, and the overall victory goes to Yates.

Early breakaway Prodhomme triumphs, Del Toro extends lead
Nicolas Prodhomme is among the first attackers of the day. Dozens of riders join him, but on the penultimate of five climbs, he decides he’s had enough. He drops Antonio Tiberi and Carlos Verona and solos to victory. Isaac del Toro finishes in second to retain the pink jersey.

Denz wins from breakaway, De Toro still leads
Nico Denz attacks from the breakaway with 18 kilometres to go and immediately opens up a solid gap. Dries De Bondt tries to bridge across, but to no avail. The German powers to a solo victory, while the peloton crosses the line minutes later and Isaac Del Toro retains the pink jersey.
