Race report
The breakaway riders are Giosuè Epis, Andrea Pietrobon and Manuele Tarozzi. The trio open up a 3-minute lead.

Pietrobon is the last breakaway rider standing in the sprint for bonus seconds. The peloton is right behind, and race leader Isaac del Toro picks up 2 seconds.

Pietrobon’s solo break ends as the race enters the final lap, and then it’s up to the fast finishers

Wout van Aert delivers a long lead-out for Olav Kooij, who finishes it off impeccably. He responds to an early jump by Casper van Uden and outpaces the stage 4 winner, while Ben Turner crosses the line in third.

Isaac del Toro retains the overall race lead.
