Tour of the Alps 2026
Giulio Pellizzari won the 49th edition of the Tour of the Alps and added extra shine to his overall victory with two stage wins. Egan Bernal and Thymen Arensman flanked the Italian on the final podium. The race started on Monday 20 April 2026 and finished on Friday the 24th.

Pellizzari adds extra shine to GC triumph with second stage win
Giulio Pellizzari attacks on the final climb of the day and, for a moment, Thymen Arensman and Egan Bernal can follow, but when the Italian presses on, the INEOS duo are dropped. He crests the summit first and extends his lead on the descent. Pellizzari thus wins his first stage race overall, with Bernal and Arensman flanking him on the final podium.

The Tour of the Alps is a road race in Italy and Austria, that’s played out in April. First held in 1962 under the name Giro del Trentino, the race was rebranded in 2017. Jasch wins from breakaway, Pellizzari keeps GC lead
Lennart Jasch wins the stage with the most elevation gain in five days of the Tour of the Alps. Inside the final 23 kilometres, the German drops his fellow breakaway riders on a climb and rides solo to victory. Giulio Pellizzari retains the leader’s jersey, 4 seconds ahead of teammates Thymen Arensman and Egan Bernal.
