Tour of the Alps 2026 Route stage 3: Latsch - Arco

Tour of the Alps 2026 Wednesday 22 April – At 174.5 kilometres, stage 3 is the longest of the Tour of the Alps. Featuring 3,620 metres of elevation gain, it is the first of two demanding mountain stages. Yet, the final kilometres are flat.

The first 26 kilometres are flat, taking the riders through the Adige Valley towards Lana, where they are faced with the longest climb of the day. The Hofmahdjoch rises over 22.2 kilometres at an average of 5.7%. The summit lies at 1,586 metres, the highest point of this Tour of the Alps.

The descent leads to Lago di Santa Giustina, and continues further downhill until the riders reach the River Noce, 80 kilometres from the finish. This marks the start of the climb to Andalo: 14.4 kilometres at an average gradient of 5.4%.

After descending to Ponte Arche, the Passo del Ballino opens with 1.8 kilometres at 6.3%, before easing off significantly. In total, the climb covers 9.7 kilometres with an average gradient of 3.7%.

On the descent, the riders pass Lago di Tenno, and shortly afterwards turn left onto a local circuit that brings them back towards the lake via a different road. This includes a 4.4-kilometre climb at 4.4%, and just before the summit in Ville del Monte there is a sprint for bonus seconds.

From the top, the riders descend for 9 kilometres to a flat 6-kilometre run-in to the finish.

The first three riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while the bonus sprint in Ville del Monte comes with 6, 4 and 2 seconds.
