Vuelta 2025: Route and stages

Jonas Vingegaard won the 80th edition of the Vuelta a España, while João Almeida and Tom Pidcock completed the final podium. Vingegaard wore the red jersey for fourteen days and underlined his dominance with three stage wins. Jasper Philipsen also claimed three stage victories. The 2025 Vuelta started on Saturday, 23 August, in Turin and finished on Sunday, 14 September, in Madrid.

Poio - Castro de Herville

Tuesday, 9 September - Stage 16 of La Vuelta is a 167.9-kilometre race featuring roughly 3,500 metres of climbing. The finish is set atop an 8.2-kilometre climb with an average gradient of 5.2%.

Vuelta 2025 The Route

Featuring a total of ten summit finishes, tthe 80th edition of the Vuelta a España was a climber's delight. The race began on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Turin and finished on Sunday, September 14, in Madrid.

Turin – Novara

Saturday, 23 August - The Vuelta a España kicks off with a flat stage from Turin to Novara. So, a sprinter is likely to put on the pink jersey after the 186.1-kilometre race.

Alba - Limone Piemonte

Sunday, 24 August - Stage 2 of La Vuelta takes the riders over flat terrain to an uphill finish. The race between Alba and Limone Piemonte covers a distance of 159.6 kilometres.

San Maurizio Canavese - Ceres

Monday, 25 August - The 3rd stage of the Vuelta a España takes the riders from San Maurizio Canavese to Ceres. The hilly course spans 134.6 kilometres with nearly 2,000 metres of elevation gain.
