Vuelta Femenina 2026 Route stage 6: Gijón - Les Praeres de Nava

Friday 8 May – Stage 6 of the Vuelta Femenina serves up more than 2,100 metres of elevation gain over a distance of 106.5 kilometres. The rolling to hilly route finishes at Les Praeres de Nava, a 3.7-kilometre climb with an average gradient of 13.4%.

The riders hit a false flat from the start, setting the tone for most of the day. The entire stage is either gently uphill or downhill, with two slightly steeper sections along the way. Before the first passage through La Curciada, after 50 kilometres, the road rises for 2.3 kilometres at 4.5%. Around 33 kilometres later, the riders return to the hamlet, but from another side. This time it's a 600-metre climb at 4.7%.

The riders continue along the same roads they covered earlier, before eventually turning south to head towards the foot of Les Praeres de Nava. The 3.7-kilometre climb at 13.4% ramps up to 16% in the first half.

The first three riders across the finish line gain 10, 6 and 4 bonus seconds, while 6, 4 and 2 seconds are up for grabs at the intermediate sprint.
