Giro 2026: Results
fotobureau Cor VosJonas Vingegaard won the 109th edition of the Giro d’Italia, with Felix Gall and Jai Hindley joining him on the final podium. Vingegaard was also the most successful stage winner, claiming five victories, while Paul Magnier and Jhonatan Narváez both won three stages. Jonathan Milan sprinted to victory on the final day.

Milan wins in Rome, Vingegaard seals GC
In the final two laps of the finishing circuit in Rome, Filippo Ganna puts on a show, with Jasper Stuyven and Matteo Sobrero on his wheel. The trio are caught by the peloton with 3 kilometres to go, before Jonathan Milan sprints to victory. Jonas Vingegaard secures the overall win.

Vingegaard caps dominant Giro with fifth stage victory
In the final mountain stage of the Giro d’Italia, Jonas Vingegaard highlights his overall performance with another commanding victory. The pink jersey attacks early on the final climb and rides solo to his fifth stage win. Barring disaster, the overall title is now his, while Felix Gall and Jai Hindley finish second and third respectively.

Giulio Ciccone attaks from the breakaway on the penultimate climb, the Passo Falzarego. On the final climb, Sepp Kuss catches him, and the American rides solo to victory. Jonas Vingegaard retains the overall lead, while Felix Gall remains second and Jai Hindley moves up to third.

Magnier completes hat-trick, Vingegaard retains pink
Despite the extremely steep Muro di Ca’ del Poggio inside the final 10 kilometres, stage 18 still ends in a bunch sprint. Paul Magnier grabs the opportunity with both hands and powers to his third victory in this Giro. As a bonus, he also takes back the maglia ciclamino. In the general classification, everything remains unchanged, with Jonas Vingegaard still in the lead.

Valgren wins thriller, Vingegaard still in pink
In a thrilling race, Michael Valgren escapes from the lead group just before the flamme rouge. He immediately opens up a significant gap and takes the win ahead of Andreas Leknessund and Damiano Caruso. The peloton takes it easy and crosses the line 5 minutes later. Jonas Vingegaard retains the lead ahead of Felix Gall and Thymen Arensman.
