Race report
There’s no real interest in launching the breakaway of the day, and it takes until the intermediate sprint for the first bit of action. Jonathan Milan picks up the most points there.

Then, with 80 kilometers to go, teammates Mattéo Vercher and Mathieu Burgaudeau launch a duo attack. Their lead barely exceeds 1 minute.

Tim Merlier is forced to chase in the final 12 kilometers due to a mechanical issue, while Burgaudeau is caught as the last breakaway rider with 10 kilometres to go. Moments later, Merlier is back in the bunch.

Mathieu van der Poel sets up the sprint for Kaden Groves, while Jonathan Milan cleverly slots into their slipstream. He bursts out and storms to the win, leaving Wout van Aert stuck on his wheel.

The general classification remains unchanged: Tadej Pogacar keeps hold of the yellow jersey.
