Elisa Longo Borghini won the 35th edition of the Giro d'Italia Women, while Lotte Kopecky and Neve Bradbury rounded the podium. After winning the ITT on day one, Longo Borghini wore the pink jersey the entire week. The race started on Sunday, 7 July 2024, and finished on Sunday the 14th.

Bradbury wins Queen Stage, Longo Borghini retains GC lead

Neve Bradbury attacks from the GC group halfway up the final climb on the Blockhaus. The 22-year-old Australian climbs to victory, while Lotte Kopecky finishes second and Elisa Longo Borghini comes in third. Longo Borghini retains the lead, but only 1 second ahead of the World Champion.

Liane Lippert takes the victory in the trying hilly race between San Benedetto del Tronto and Chieti. She outguns her breakaway companions Ruth Edwards and Erica Magnaldi in the sprint. Elisa Longo Borghini finishes fourth to retain the pink jersey.

Clara Emond drops her breakaway companions on the first climb of the day and solos to victory in a 40 kilometres effort. Elisa Longo Borghini and Lotte Kopecky finish together and remain in first and second place. Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig finishes in third to move up to third place on GC.
