Vuelta Femenina 2025 Route stage 7: La Robla - Alto de Cotobello
TThe road climbs from the start, although at shallow gradients for the first 30.9 kilometres. The gradient increases slightly on the Puerto de Pajares, but it’s nothing too demanding – especially considering what still lies ahead.
After a long descent, the road begins to rise gently again from Figaredo. The riders follow the Río Aller upstream towards the first real climb of the day. This section will feature again towards the end of the stage. Then it leads onto the final climb, but for now they continue straight ahead towards the Alto de Colladona – a 5.5-kilometre ascent averaging 7.4%. At the summit, 66.6 kilometres remain.
Soon after the descent, the tougher Alto de la Colladiella looms. The road climbs for 6.4 kilometres at an average gradient of 8.2%. The opening, middle, and final sections are particularly steep, though the rest of the climb is no breeze either.
A sharp descent brings the riders back to Figaredo, which they passed earlier, and they follow the Río Aller upstream once again to the foot of the Vuelta Femenina’s final climb: the Alto de Cotobello. This ascent averages 8% over 10.3 kilometres. The fifth kilometre is the steepest at 10.3%, and there's also a short section of 12% just before the finish line.
Bonus seconds on offer: 6, 4 and 2 at the intermediate sprint, and 10, 6 and 4 at the finish.
