On the climb, De Vries drops her breakaway companions and joins the lone leader. They continue together, although their lead over the peloton has shrunk to a minute and a half as they approach the Alto de Colladiella.

Mavi García then takes up the attack, with Évita Muzic joining her. The duo is brought back on the finish climb.
Anna van der Breggen sets the pace on the climb, drastically thinning out the peloton. With 4 kilometres remaining, only Demi Vollering, Marlen Reusser and Cédrine Kerbaol are still on her wheel.
With 1.5 kilometres remaining to the summit, Vollering accelerates for the first time, but can’t shake off her rivals. A second surge in the final kilometre does the trick. Reusser tries to follow, but in vain.
Vollering solos to both the stage win and the overall title, with Reusser crossing the line in second place and Van der Breggen completing the podium. Fittingly, the final stage's results mirror the overall standings of the 2025 Vuelta Femenina.
