Vuelta Femenina 2025 Route stage 3: Barbastro - Huesca

Tuesday, 6 May – Stage 3 of the Vuelta Femenina takes the peloton across the rolling plains of northern Aragón, from Barbastro to Huesca. The route covers 132.4 kilometres with just under 1,200 metres of elevation gain.

We’re in the Pre-Pyrenees — the southern foothills, to be precise — but there are no real climbs to contend with. The only real threat to the riders is invisible. Crosswinds could easily split the peloton on the exposed roads.

The Vuelta Femenina also passed through this region last year. Stage 4 ran from Molina de Aragón to Zaragoza, and after just 22 kilometres the bunch shattered in strong winds. The groups never came back together, and Kristen Faulkner launched a solo move in the final 7 kilometres to take the win.
