UAE Tour 2025: The Route

UAE Tour 2025The UAE Tour kicks off on Monday, 17 February, and finishes on Sunday, the 23rd. Riders face the usual mix of sprint opportunities, two summit finishes, and a flat individual time trial.

The opening stage is flat for the first 55 kilometres. After that, a series of short climbs adds some variety and the road rises at 4.5% in the final kilometer. Still, this shouldn’t be enough to stop a bunch sprint.

Stage 2 is a 12.2-kilometre individual time trial on a flat and fast course.

Stage 3 serves up the first of two summit finishes in the UAE Tour. The route is flat until the final climb kicks in. Jebel Jais is a steady 21.1-kilometre ascent with an average gradient of 5.4%.

Stage 4 starts at sea level, and after 50 kilometres of false flat, the riders reach the highest point of the day at 453 metres. From there, the course descends gently before heading into a flat section that leads all the way to the line.

Stage 5 is another one for the sprinters, with both start and finish in Dubai on roads as flat as they come.

The same goes for the 6th stage, which finishes at Abu Dhabi Breakwater, where Tim Merlier has taken victory for the past two years.

The UAE Tour wraps up with stage 7 and its traditional final showdown on Jebel Hafeet. At 10.8 kilometres with an average gradient of 6.6%, Jebel Hafeet usually is the decisive climb in the battle for GC. The run-up to the finish climb is flat.
