Sorry, that’s not correct. There is another climb – 2.2 kilometres at 5.6% – in the first hour. Which will obviously have no impact on the outcome. The route totals 865 metres of uphill climbing, while twice of much is on descent.
Long story short: it’s going to be a sprint in Zaragoza.
Winning two stages, Groves is the stellar sprinter on La Vuelta. Soupe was the surprise winner of stage 7.
