The route is mostly gently undulating. Two uphills stand out - Alto de Belltall climb for 9.1 kilometres at 3,7%, while the Col de Lilla is 5.3 kilometres long and averaging 5.2%. The Belltall and Lilla are crested within 25 kilometres before the last 30 kilometres run predominantly downhill, gradually changing into a flat finale.
