Race report
The breakaway consists of Gonçalo Oliveira, Francisco Morais, Victor Cesar De Paula, Miguel Salgueiro, Francisco Campos, Noah Campos, Diogo Narcisco, and German Nicolás Tivani. Their maximum lead is just under 4 minutes.

Salgueiro tries his luck with a solo attack tens of kilometres from the finish, but unsurprisingly, the attackers are reeled in well before the line.

At a roundabout in the final kilometer, the peloton takes the wrong side of the road. Filippo Ganna is one of the few riders who stays alert and takes the correct route. He crosses the line solo, while a few riders just metres to the right sprint in vain for the stage win.

Afterwards, the organisation decides to declare the results invalid
