Volta ao Algarve 2025 Route stage 5: Salir - Alto do Malhão
The riders set off at high speed with a slight downhill section before the road gradually starts to rise. That sets the tone, as the route continues to undulate with gentle gradients.
The grand finale is a 2.6-kilometre climb with an average gradient of 9.3%. In the final few hundred metres, the slope eases.
There are two intermediate time checks: the first comes after 8.1 kilometres, and the second at at kilometres 17, just before the climb.
