Race report
With combined efforts, Calum Johnston, Gonçalo Oliveira, Bruno Silva, Joaquim Silva, Ivo Pinheiro, Carlos Miguel Salgueiro, Noah Campos, André Ribeiro, João Oliveira, and César Fonte open up a lead of over 3 minutes on the peloton.
The breakway is reeled with 50 kilometres to go, and the peloton stays together afterward. Romain Bardet, fourth in the general classification, is forced to abandon in the last 25 kilometers after a crash.
On the home straight, Casper van Uden goes for a long sprint. He is overtaken by four riders, with Jordi Meeus the fastest.
Jan Christen finishes safely in the bunch to stay in the overall race lead.
