Race report
Barta, Canellas, Nicolau, Sevilla and Garcia establish the breakaway after 15 kilometres of action. Fiorelli tracks the five down before they carve out a lead of 3 minutes.

Barta heads out alone on La Frontera. GC leader McNulty neutralises an attack by Vlasov, while the sprinters are dropped.

Barta is still 30 seconds adrift when the peloton regains contact with the GC group with 22 kilometres remaining. Trek-Lidl opens the chase and they bring the peloton back to 10 seconds, but then the attacker widens the gap again. Barta powers on to win his first race as a pro.

McNulty finishes safely in the bunch to seal the GC victory.
