Race report
The peloton stays together on the way to the first intermediate sprint. There, Primoz Roglic takes 3 bonus seconds and Juan Ayuso 1, allowing the Slovenian to move ahead of the Spaniard in the overall classification. In the second sprint, Ayuso beats Nico Denz and Primoz Roglic, putting him back in first place.

Roglic attacks on the steepest section of the third-to-last lap, with 20 kilometres to go. He crosses the finish line 24 seconds ahead of the peloton featuring Aysuo.

One lap later, Enric Mas, Axel Laurance, Lennert Van Eetvelt, and Mikel Landa give chase at the same spot, with Juan Ayuso is unable to follow. The four are caught again, after which Lennert Van Eetvelt and Laurens De Plus try their luck on the last climb. Once again, Ayuso cannot keep up.

It’s clear: Roglic is the strongest rider in the race, and he solos to both the stage and overall victory. De Plus outsprints Van Eetvelt in the battle for second place.
