The final stage of the Volta a Catalunya turns into a compelling Remco Evenepoel versus Primoz Roglic showdown. The World Champion puts pressure on the race leader, but the Slovene does not give in. Evenepoel takes the stage win, Roglic seals the overall victory.

Primoz Roglic outguns Remco Evenepoel in a direct confrontation on the steep finish climb. The Slovene still leads the GC, but no longer on the same time as the World Champion. The gap between the two is 10 seconds.
