Tour of Valencia 2025 Route stage 3: Algemesí - Alpuente
The first half of the race runs on flat to rolling terrain, but things change when the riders hit the climb to Alcublas. The ascent is 4.7 kilometres long with an average gradient of 5.5%.
There’s no real descent afterwards, as the route continues on undulating terrain towards the base of the next climb, Las Peñas de Dios. This ascent stretches for 3.7 kilometres at an average gradient of 6.3%.
A long downhill section of roughly 30 kilometres takes the riders to the base of the toughest challenge of the day, the Pico del Remedio. The 7.9-kilometre climb averages 6.5%, with ramps up to 13.1%. Once over the top, 22 kilometres remain.
After a negligible descent, the riders take on a false flat of 10 kilometres leading to La Yesa. From there, a downhill stretch brings them to the punchy final kick – a 1.3-kilometre uphill run to the line.
The first three riders across the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while the intermediate sprint comes with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.
