Tour of Britain 2025 Route + results stage 6: Newport - Cardiff
The riders roll out from the Geraint Thomas Velodrome in Newport for a day packed with rolling terrain. It’s never truly flat, yet only two climbs are classified for the mountains points.
Just before halfway, the peloton crests Mynydd Bedwellte after 3.4 kilometres of climbing at 3.9%. From there, the route continues on constantly undulating roads via Merthyr Tydfil towards the finish in Cardiff. Excitement looms inside the last 10 kilometres with Caerphilly Mountain – a punchy 1.3-kilometre climb at 9.6%.
From the top, it’s 5 kilometres downhill before a flat final run-in of another 5 kilometres.
