Renewi Tour 2025 Route + results stage 2: Blankenberge – Ardooie

Thursday 21 August – On the second day of the Renewi Tour, the riders cover 172.7 kilometres from Blankenberge to Ardooie. The finish town has been a staple for years, often paired with a start in Blankenberge.

Between 2016 and 2020, the route from Blankenberge to Ardooie was a fixture on the Renewi Tour, and it returned again over the past two years. Peter Sagan (2016, 2017), Jasper Stuyven (2018), Sam Bennett (2019), Jasper Philipsen (2020, 2023), and Jonathan Milan (2024) – they all celebrated in Ardooie.

All of those victories came in bunch sprints – with the exception of Stuyven’s. He slipped away in the chicane just before the flamme rouge and soloed to victory. In years past, Mark Renshaw had also won in similar fashion.

The route itself is fairly unremarkable. The stage opens with a local loop in Blankenberge and closes with four circuits in and around Ardooie. So those who don’t yet know the finish will have plenty of opportunities to get acquainted with it.

The Green Kilometre, where three intermediate sprints within 1,000 metres offer 3, 2 and 1 bonus seconds, begins with 19.3 kilometres remaining. Additional bonuses are on offer at the finish: 10, 6 and 4 seconds for the first three riders across the line.
