Giro Women 2026 Route stage 7: Sorbolo Mezzani - Salice Terme

Giro Women 2026 Friday 5 June – Stage 7 of the Giro d’Italia Women covers 159 kilometres from Sorbolo Mezzani to Salice Terme. Along the way, they tackle 1,000 metres of elevation gain, most of which is packed into the day’s only climb. The summit comes 26.9 kilometres from the finish, after which the road heads downhill all the way to the line.

The climb leads to the hilltop village of Pietragavina. It is an irregular ascent of 7.9 kilometres, with the opening 1.5 kilometres rising at 4.2% towards the intermediate sprint. A virtually flat section then precedes nearly 3 kilometres at 5.8% before the road eases off towards the summit.

There is not much more to say about the remainder of the route other than that it is flat. After 96 kilometres, the road already begins to drag ever so slightly uphill towards the climb, which officially starts after 124.2 kilometres.

The finish in Salice Terme could become tricky in a bunch sprint, as there is a 90-degree left-hand turn shortly before the line.

There are time bonuses of 6, 4 and 2 seconds up for grabs at the intermediate sprint, while the first three riders across the line receive 10, 6 and 4 seconds.
