Giro Women 2026 Route stage 5: Longarone - Santo Stefano di Cadore
After a flat opening, the riders climb 5 kilometres at 5.4% to Pieve di Cadore. The road then continues to rise on a false flat for dozens of kilometres towards Cortina d’Ampezzo, which marks the start of the Passo Tre Croci, a steady 7.9-kilometre climb at 7.2%.
A 26-kilometre descent leads to the foot of the Passo di Sant’Antonio. The 8.3-kilometre climb at 7.5% opens and closes on a gentle note — these sections are little more than false flats — but the middle part is something else entirely, as it repeatedly kicks into double-digit gradients, particularly from kilometres 2 to 4.
The riders then descend onto a finishing circuit, which opens with the climb to the mountain village of Costa, a 4-kilometre effort at 9.1%. After a short dip, the road rises again for a further 800 metres at 6.9%, before descending over 9 kilometres towards Santo Stefano di Cadore.
After the finish line, there is still another lap of the 23.2-kilometre circuit. Again featuring the 4-kilometre climb at 9.1% and the 800-metre kicker at 6.9%, the stage ends with the 9-kilometre descent to the line.
There are time bonuses of 6, 4 and 2 seconds up for grabs at the intermediate sprint, while the first three riders across the line receive 10, 6 and 4 seconds.
