Primoz Roglic won the 76th edition of the Critérium du Dauphiné ahead of Matteo Jorgenson and Derek Gee. The Slovenian highlighted his performance with two stage wins, although Jorgenson came very close in the final stage. The race started on Sunday, 2 June 2024, and finished on Sunday, the 9th.

Rodriguez wins nail-biter, Roglic barely holds on to yellow
Matteo Jorgenson almost turns the Critérium du Dauphiné upside down on the final day. Yellow jersey Primoz Roglic drops inside the last 5 kilometres, and the American battles it out with Carlos Rodriguez for the stage win. The latter takes the spoils, while Jorgenson falls 8 seconds short. Roglic finishes sixth to win the GC in a nail-biter of a finale.

Roglic cements lead in Samoëns 1600
Marc Soler initiates the breakaway on the first climb of the day, and he heads out alone on the penutimate climb, the Col de La Ramaz. The GC riders catch him 2 kilometres from the finish, and then it's yellow jersey Primoz Roglic who sprints to his second stage win in a row.

Roglic wins and takes GC lead at Le Collet d'Allevard
Primoz Roglic outguns Giulio Ciccone to take yellow at Le Collet d'Allevard after a strong mountain-top lead-out by Aleksandr Vlasov, who finishes third. The Slovenian is the new yellow jersey, 19 seconds ahead of overnight leader Remco Evenepoel.

A huge crash takes place in the peloton with 20 kilometres remaining. As there is a the shortage of ambulances, the ASO then decides to neutralise stage 5. The riders travel the last part of the route to the finish line, but no times are taken.

Evenepoel takes yellow with ITT triumph
Remco Evenepoel storms to a commanding victory in the individual time trial at the Critérium du Dauphiné. Joshua Tarling finishes second, while Primoz Roglic crosses the line third, 39 seconds behind. Evenepoel is the new leader in the GC.
