World Cycling Championships 2023 Glasgow

World Championships 2023The World Cycling Championships of 2023 are played out in Glasgow, Scotland. The event will bring together thirteen cycling disciplines, including road races, BMX, MTB and track racing. While the road race World Championships usually takes place in September, this mega-event is to be held from Thursday 3 August to Sunday the 13th. The men’s road race takes place on Sunday the 6th. The 2023 Cycling Worlds will mark the first time ever that the road races and ITTs take place in Scotland.

The road races will reach their zenit on 14.4 kilometres city circuit with some punchy short climbs followed by a slightly downhill finish. The new World Champions will cross the line in Glasgow’s George Square. The circuit features 193 metres of climbing per lap.

The reigning champions are Remco Evenepoel and Annemiek van Vleuten (road races), Tobias Foss and Ellen van Dijk (ITT), and Switzerland (mixed relay).
