Race report

Brandon McNulty, Magnus Cort, Darren Rafferty, Einer Rubio and Liam Slock form the breakaway. None of them pose a threat to race leader Jonas Vingegaard. McNulty is best placed, more than 24 minutes down on the leader's jersey. The five open up a maximum lead of 2 minutes.

As the five are reeled in, Remco Evenepoel accelerates with just under 37 kilometres to the finish. Jonas Vingegaard, Oscar Onley and Lenny Martinez immediately follow, with Florian Lipowitz, Cian Uijtdebroeks, Mattias Skjelmose, and Valentin Paret-Pientre, Antoine L'Hote, Senna Remijn en Afonso Eulálio joining a little later.

The peloton comes back together, but the race remains highly tense, with attacks coming thick and fast. Still, the bunch is reunited at the bell for the final lap.

An attack by Luca Vergallito on the final haul up the Montjuïc climb goes nowhere, leaving it to the fast men who have survived the onslaught.

Brady Gilmore pips Dorian Godon on the line, while Jonas Vingegaard finishes safely in the group to secure the overall victory.
