UAE Tour 2026 Route stage 3: Umm Al Quwain - Jebel Mobrah

Apart from that, it is a typical UAE Tour stage. After the start in Umm Al Quwain on the Persian Gulf, the riders travel over flat roads towards Ras Al Khaimah. At that point they are still only halfway through the stage, and the terrain remains flat for many more kilometres. Only in the final 50 kilometres does the profile change, as they tackle a long false flat. From the highest point they descend, again on gentle gradients, towards the foot of Jebel Mobrah.

Jebel Mobrah is a new climb on the UAE Tour. The recently asphalted road in the Hajar Mountains measures 14.9 kilometres in total and serves up a tough yet manageable average gradient of 8.6%, but the final section is something else entirely.

The climb opens with a stretch of false flat and an initial climbing section of 3 kilometres at 7.6%. A short descent can easily lull the unwary into a false sense of security before the monster starts to roar. The final 6.8 kilometres of Jebel Mobrah rise at an average gradient of 12%. In a barren rocky landscape, the riders even face ramps of up to 17%.

The first three riders across the line gain 10, 6 and 4 bonus seconds, while 3, 2 and 1 seconds are available at the intermediate sprints.
