UAE Tour 2024 Route stage 6: Abu Dhabi - Abu Dhabi Breakwater

UAE Tour 2024Saturday 24 February - The 6th stage presents the last sprint finish of this year's UAE Tour. The race starts and finishes in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The flat route is 138 kilometres long.

The riders clip into their pedals outside the Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island and they head east. After brushing past the Yas Marina Circuit, where Max Verstappen won the last four Grands Prix, the route re-enters Abu Dhabi City via the residential suburb of Khalifa City.

The riders cross Al Reem Island and Al Maryah Island before approaching the finish line at Abu Dhabi Breakwater.

Last year, Tim Merlier won the Abu Dhabi Breakwater sprint ahead of Sam Bennett and Dylan Groenewegen. Mark Cavendish tooks the spoils in 2022, while Caleb Ewan turned out on top in 2021.

The first three riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while the intermediate sprints come with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.
