Tour of the Alps 2024

Juan Pedro López won the 47th edition of the Tour of the Alps. Ben O'Connor and Antonio Tiberi flanked the Spaniard on the final podium. Featuring a total elevation gain of 13,250 metres, the 2024 Tour of the Alps started on Monday 15 April to finish on Friday the 19th.

Paret Peintre wins final stage, López wins GC

The last stage of the Tour of the Alps comes down to a sprint of a reduced peloton. Aurélien Paret-Peintre takes the spoils ahead of Antonio Tiberi and his brother Valentin, while Juan Pedro López seals the overall victory.

Levico Terme - Levico Terme

Friday 19 April - The final stage of the Tour of the Alps both starts and finishes in Levico Terme. The 118.6 kilometres long race includes an elevation gain of 2,490 metres. The last climb, Palù del Fersina, is crested with more than 16 kilometres left to race.

Simon Carr initiates the breakaway on the first climb of the day. He drops his last companion Sergio Higuita on the Passo del Vetriolo to solo to victory. Juan Pedro López stays in the lead of the general classification.

Giulio Pellizzari and Juan Pedro López attack from the GC group on the second of four steep ramps in the last 38 kilometres. López heads out alone on the last one and the Spaniard solos to victory. He also moves into the overall race lead.
