Tour de Romandie 2026 Route prologue:

There are only a few gentle bends, meaning the riders hardly need to brake and can tackle the course at high speed. It is not completely flat, however, as the route includes 69 metres of elevation gain. Most of this comes from an 800-metre climb at 6.9% inside the final 1.5 kilometres.

The Tour de Romandie almost always begins with a prologue. Last year it was won by Samuel Watson, following in the footsteps of Maikel Zijlaard (2024), Josef Cerny (2023) and Ethan Hayter (2022).

Weather conditions:
Start: 17°C, cloudy with a chance of rain, west-northwesterly wind (force 2)
Finish: 16°C, cloudy with a chance of rain, northerly wind (force 2)

Davide Formolo is the first rider off the ramp at 15:35 local time (CEST), while Tadej Pogacar is the last rider to leave at 17:17. See also: key start times.
