Tour de Romandie 2024 Route stage 3: Oron ITT

Tour de Romandie 2024Friday 26 April - The 3rd stage of the Tour de Romandie is an ITT in and around Oron. The rolling route adds up to 15.51 kilometres. The start ramp is situated in Palézieux, just south of Oron and since 2008 part of the municipality.

Although the route features a number of tight turns, the ITT predominantly takes place on straight roads to the east of Oron. So, all in all, the course should favour pure ITT specialists.

Three years ago the Tour de Romandie started in Oron-la-Ville with a prologue. The now retired Rohan Dennis took the spoils ahead of Geraint Thomas and Richie Porte. That route included a punchy climb to the line, which is not the case this time. En route you’ll find a 1.8 kilometre climb at 6.5% and a number of false flat sections, but that’s it in terms of climbing.

The intermediate time check appears after 7.9 kilometres.
