Tour de Romandie 2024: The Route
The Tour de Romandie opens with a flat prologue of 2.28 kilometres before stage 1 is something else entirely. The elevation gain adds up to 2,650 metres, while the route totals 165.7 kilometres. The last climb - 2.2 kilometres at 5.9% - is crested 9.2 kilometres before the finish line.
At 171.0 kilometres, the 2nd stage takes in an altitude gain of 2,770 metres. The race finishes uphill after a 7.8 kilometres climb at 7.3%.
Stage 3 is a rolling ITT of 15.51 kilometres before the GC action intensifies in the penultimate stage, which is - on paper - the hardest race of the week. The elevation gain sums up to 3,536 metres, while the route totals 151.7 kilometres. It's the second mountain top finish of the week - this time after a 14 kilometres climb at 6%.
The final stage of the Tour de Romandie is a lumpy race with start and finish in Vernier.
