Race report
It’s lonely at the front. Early on, Diego Pablo Sevilla rides clear and builds a lead of over 6 minutes. He takes the points at the only KOM climb of the day before he waits for the peloton.
It remains status quo until Jonas Abrahamsen, Liam Slock and Ethan Hayter launch an attack inside the final 25 kilometres. Their effort is short-lived, and it comes down to a sprint.
Jonathan Milan goes too early, and he is powerfully outpaced by Tobias Lund Andresen. The 23-year-old Dane keeps Arnaud De Lie and Jasper Philipsen at bay and scores the biggest win of his career.
Isaac del Toro, who picks up 1 bonus second along the way, retains the overall race lead.
