Giro Women 2026 Route stage 3: Bibione - Buja
First published 26 May 2026 – last updated 1 June: weather conditions added
The riders clip in in Bibione, just east of Venice, and head north across flat roads. After 95 kilometres they hit the first of two categorised climbs. It is a modest effort - 1 kilometre at 6.2% - in Friulian vineyards.
A little under 20 kilometres later comes the first passage over the finish line, which comes on a 500-metre kicker at 5.3%. Shortly afterwards, the road rises for another 500 metres at 6.3%.
The route then continues to Montenars, where the hardest climb of the day is located. It averages 9.1% over 1.9 kilometres, although it can also be seen as a 1.1-kilometre climb at 12.4%, as the second half is by far the steepest.
Once over the top, there are still 21.3 flat kilometres to go to the finish.
There are time bonuses of 6, 4 and 2 seconds up for grabs at the intermediate sprint, while the first three riders across the line receive 10, 6 and 4 seconds.
