Giro 2025 Route stage 21: Rome - Rome

Giro d'Italia 2025Sunday, 1 June – The final stage of the Giro is a circuit race in Rome. After an out-and-back trip to the Tyrrhenian Sea, the route continues in front of roaring city crowds on eight identical laps of 9.5 kilometres. It's an entirely flat affair.

The race begins with a neutralised parade through Vatican City before heading to Lido di Castel Fusano, essentially Rome’s beach, and back again. Then it’s onto the final circuit – the same one as last year, where Tim Merlier sprinted to glory in the Eternal City. The Belgian edged out Jonathan Milan and Kaden Groves, nabbing his third stage win of that edition.

In 2018, Sam Bennett took the win in Rome, and two years ago, Mark Cavendish claimed victory. Which sprinter will steal the show on the Giro’s final day this time?
