Eneco Tour 2014
The Eneco Tour is a 7-day stage race in Belgium and the Netherlands. It is held in August, shortly after the Tour de France. The 2014 race starts Monday, August 11th and ends on Sunday, August 17th.
2013 was the 9th edition of the race and featured some of the famous hills from the Tour of Flanders and Liége-Bastogne-Liége, resulting in an exciting 7 days raced like 1 day classics. The 2014 race will finish on the famous La Redoute climb in the Ardennes. Cyclingstage.com will present all stages and results of the 2014 edition.

Van Keirsbulck takes stage, Wellens GC
Sunday, August 17th - The Dutch/Belgian Eneco Tour closes with a stage similar to Amstel Gold Race. Out of a break away of 20 riders the 23-year old Guillaume Van Keirsbulck soloes to victory. His same aged countryman Tim Wellens wins the GC, whilst Lars Boom and Tom Dumoulin are next to him on the podium.Read more »
Young Tim Wellens wins at La Redoute
Stage 6 of the Eneco Tour is a pocket version of Liege-Bastogne-Liege, filled with notorious hills from the Wallone classic. In 174 kilometres riders head from the Dutch town of Heerlen to Aywaille, birth ground of Philippe Gilbert. The former world Champion doesn't win however, it's his countryman Tim Wellens taking not only the stage win at the steep La Redoute, the 23-year old rider is the new overall leader as well.Read more »
Greg Van Avermaet stage, Tom Dumoulin GC
The 5th stage of the Dutch/Belgian Eneco Tour showcases a route with a lot of cobbled hills, notorious from the Flemish spring classics. The break away of four is killed in the finale and homerider Laurens De Vreese takes over in the streets of his own Geraardsbergen. But it is another Flemish rider who shines today. Greg Van Avermaet outpowers each and everyone on the cobbles of the Muur, whilst Tom Dumoulin comes in second, thus taking the GC-lead.Read more »
Bouhanni outsprints the bunch, Stybar crashes
The first Belgian stage in the Dutch/Belgian Eneco Tour goes in 179 kilometres from Koksijde to Ardooie. Two homeriders attack, but the break doesn’t last and the stage explodes quite literally. Titleholder Stybar crashes hard in the bunch sprint, whilst Bouhanni stays on his bike and outsprints Luka Mezgec. Lars Boom is still the leader.Read more »
Dumoulin takes win, Boom new leader
Located in the Netherlands, Breda hosts the 9,6 kilometres individual time of the Eneco Tour. Homerider Tom Dumoulin bests Fabian Cancellara and wins the race, thus making up time he lost yesterday after he punctured. Lars Boom is the new leader with a duo at his heels. Both Dumoulin and Quinziato are 4 seconds down. It's close call with upcoming versions of three spring classics this weekend.Read more »
