Tour of Valencia 2019: The Route
The opener is an individual time trial from Orihuela to Seminario Diocesano de San Miguel. The 10.2 kilometres route concludes with a zigzagging climb of 600 metres at 9%.
The 2nd stage should be for the sprinters. The first part of the race is far from flat, but the last 40 kilometres run steady downhill.
Possibly, the breakaway could last until the line in stage 3. At 194 kilometres, the race travels through the middle mountains from Quart de Poblet to La Chera.
The Tour of Valencia includes its Queen Stage on the fourth day of action. Following three intermediate climbs the final haul up leads to the Ermita de Santa Lucía y Sant Benet on a mountain ridge above seaside village Alcossebre. The last 3.4 kilometres climb at 9.7%.
At 88 kilometres, the 5th stage is a copy of last year's last stage. The riders travel from Paterna to a likely fast finishers showdown in Valencia.
