Race report
Mathijs Paasschens, Ben Perry, Alexandar Richardson and Kamiel Bonneu establish the breakaway after 13 kilometres of hard racing. The four open up a gap of 5 minutes with 40 kilometres remaining. Torrential rains are coming down by now, which favours the breakaway.

Bonneu attacks inside the last 500 metres and he takes the win ahead of Perry. The Canadian moves up to first place, as the peloton crosses the line 7 seconds later.
